DS Techwrite as an organisation, commenced operation on the 1st of September 1987 with the responsibility to prepare the technical documents for an Australian Defence Force (ADF) Procurement project accepted by Dennis Wood as a Freelance Technical Writer. That project was completed in June 1988, but during the conduct of the initial project, other opportunities became available, including:
  • Creation of Technical documents for a second ADF project being undertaken by Haulmark Trailers (Australia).
  • Development of training for underground coal mines in conjunction with Performance Training on behalf of the Queensland Coal Association.
  • Development of Training documents for Power Brewing's then newly developed brewery located at Yatala, Qld. This brewery is now the jewel in the crown of Carlton United Breweries.
Early 1988, Lindside Pty Ltd was established and the business became known as Lindside Publications. A name change to Australian Productivity Training occurred, to coincide with a stronger emphasis on the development of training programs. During this time, the business was heavily involved with the development of training documentation for companies such as:
  • Queensland Breweries Limited, Yatala, Queensland.
  • Meadow Lea Foods, Murarrie, Queensland.
  • Sunstate Cement, Fisherman's Island, Queensland.
  • Laminex Industries, Gympie, Queensland.
  • Australian Paper, Petrie, Queensland.

Throughout this period there was continued involvement in ADF projects, particularly with Haulmark Trailers (Australia).

A return to a focus on the development of Technical Manuals drove the change to the current trading name, DS Techwrite. To date, DS Techwrite have been highly involved in further ADF projects on behalf of, or in conjunction with Haulmark Trailers (Australia), Mack Trucks (Australia), Project Outcomes and the ADF direct.

In the mid 1990's DS Techwrite became a Distributor/Contract Publisher on behalf of Mincom Limited, located in Brisbane Australia, for Mincom's LinkOne suite of products. This association continues to the present day.

In July 2005, DS Techwrite became the trading name of Mundano Pty Ltd along with a move to new premises located at 42 Deakin Street, Brendale, Queensland.
To continue it's tradition as a leading technical document organisation, DS Techwrite began investing into future-proof and emerging technologies and opportunities.

In December 2006, DS Techwrite launched OzCatalogue.com.au, a versatile, web-based electronic catalogue library, where clients can store their electronic documents for viewing, requiring only an internet connection to access.

In another venture to differentiate itself from the crowd, DS Techwrite entered a unique partnership with Inmedius, adopting the internationally popular Inmedius S100D Publishing Suite, becoming the first organisation in Australia to do so.

In October 2007, DS Techwrite's long term partnership with Haulmark Trailers (Australia) reached new highs. Subject to successful negotiations, Haulmark Trailers (Australia) are to supply new trailers to ADF through the Land 121 project. DS Techwrite will undertake the task of developing and maintaining Technical Documents for the life of this project.
