DS Techwrite Introduces Collaborative Authoring/Writing. DS Techwrite has implemented a system of collaborative authoring to enable DS Techwrite to work in collaboration with Client personnel to produce technical documentation. DS Techwrite recognises that many organisations like to keep their documentation projects 'in-house' to maintain ownership and control over the documents. DS Techwrite also recognises that many organisations find it difficult to manage and produce necessary documentation through a shortage of skilled personnel, time available and suitable facilities.
DS Techwrite has implemented new technologies to enable customer organisations and their nominated personnel to manage and produce technical documentation through a joint effort between the Customer and DS Techwrite. The advantages to the Customer are: assistance to write and produce documents where necessary; established workflows to ensure that documents are properly authored, reviewed and released; use of DS Techwrite's authoring tools as necessary and by negotiation; access to the management systems and authoring tools from anywhere in the world via the internet; training and mentoring services in the research and writing of technical documents; - ability to publish in both hardcopy and electronic formats, including Mincom LinkOne; and
- access to experienced Writers, Illustrators and Desktop Publishers as necessary.
Document types include, but are not limited to: work procedures and instructions, technical references, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, repair parts catalogues, management and project plans, and quality systems.
